Unplanned meetings
Office politics
Procrastination
Checking e-mails
“Fire-fighting”
Having one too many coffee breaks
Interruptions
Making personal calls
Over researching a prospects business
Scouring social media for sales tips
Doing other peoples jobs……
I could go on.
You really need to change your behaviours if you find yourself doing some of the above.
Ages ago, I realised that I could not possibly do my job as a freelance businessman and presenter without outsourcing or delegating some tasks. As a result, I try to focus on what I’m good at doing, selling, speaking, running sales training workshops. Admin and other mundane items I pass on to others to handle.
Delegation can multiply results. If I try to do everything myself, I can only get so much done in the available hours. If you get others to help you, one can achieve a great deal more.
