How To Win At Networking

📅  3rd April 2018 | Events & Workshops

Apart from meeting those who run events at 1 Wimpole Street a few days ago, I ran into the talented Steve Price.  Steve was with my friend Sorcha Rogers who runs a successful corporate entertainment company. We were in the West End to see a showcase at The Royal Society of Medicine‘s event space.

Having the advantage of chatting to people I knew made it easier to be introduced to others in the room. Now this doesn’t necessarily happen automatically. Don’t presume your networking buddies will “work the room” with you. Instead you should be bold enough to take the initiative. Say something along the lines of “let’s me see if we can chat to John S, he gave a very interesting talk” or “I liked the way he described psychographics”…or putting things another way, don’t be a wallflower!

1 Wimpole Street is a great place to hold a corporate or networking event. And we at the Sales Rainmaker are looking to hold one of our sales transformation days there later in the year.
